Sebastian and Dorian shop

We were shopping for people who didn't have enough food. And stuff for the bathroom. We bought juice, canned fruit, and noodles. Toothpaste, toilet paper and soap and shampoo. We got some chili and cornbread mix. And mac and cheese. Peanut butter, cereal, tuna fish, raisins, oats. Then we put it to the food bank at the Drop In Center. We give it to people at the Drop In Center and they give it to people that don't have enough food. We gave them stuff for Thanksgiving and other times. We got them before toys and clothes. Please-- You! and you!-- give them some food, too.
What did you do, Dorian? Giving. To people's house.
[Ed. note: Demand in our area went up by 25% this year. Not to be too preachy, but everyone's help is needed and we urge you to support your local food bank with either money or physical donations. The woman we spoke to today said what they need the most is peanut butter, toilet paper, and diapers.]

Winter-Fall

It's snowing outside! And freezing and raining! I'm walkin'. I was excited, but tired. We walked to playgroup in the snow. I liked it, walking in the snow. It was hard.
Do you like the snow? Yeah. I goed back home. I went back home, too. I liked wearing my winter gear. I wore snow pants, a coat, gloves and a scarf, a hat, and snow boots. And snow. I got all snowy.

Dorian

There's Dorian in the house. Who built this house? Me! And Daddy! And me!
Uh oh! The blocks! Me!
Dorian! In the blocks! Hahaha! Crash!

Thanksgiving

Yesterday we made our Thanksgiving tree. We did it by writing one thing on the leaves and putting them on the tree. We were writing things we were being thankful for. We were thankful for a lot of things. Dorian is thankful for only tractors and he made one himself. It said "Bllablathblah"-- it didn't make any sense. It was kind of more like a scribble. I was thankful for candy, our keyboard, 2 good parents, Vermont, Peep and the Big Wide World, flowers and strawberries, working, food, green, myself, apples and pears, and my birthday, instruments. What are you thankful for? Leave a comment for it.

Movies

I went to see a movie today. It was called Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. I went with my friend Lydia. It was about a crazy toy store. Almost everything was magical, so that many toys could've moved. One character was named Henry and he was a worker. There was a kid named Eric. And a woman and a man named Mr. Magorium. There was a magical book and an octopus squid thing came out of it. There was a sad part after Mr. Magorium died. I think Lydia liked it. Of course, I liked it! I think the movie would be good for all ages because it is so funny! I had popcorn and rootbeer. And a little ear chocolate. I got a bad day because I had a bad attitude.

Phit!

Phit is a game. I liked playing it. The game, how you play it, is that you have to make a shape with these connected blocks. You have to click the block and drag it to a little yellow box to make a shape. When you use up all the kind of shapes and you are wrong, you have to reset. I got up to level 15. Mama did 3 or 4 for me.

Excavating the rock!

I have a big rock. I got it in a little kit from Quinn and Rob. I'm hammering and filing it.
Now, I'm using a chisel.
Now, I'm breaking the rock into tiny pieces. I'm using a chisel to excavate.
Now I'm using a brush to wipe the dust off the crystal. Then, I went to the bathroom and washed it in the bathroom sink, then dried it on a little towel. It was amethyst. Five crystals can come from the rock from the 16 kinds you can find. 16 crystals can be available. But you'll find 5 in the rock. The one I'm hoping I'll find is the beautifulest to me: rose quartz. And tiger eye.

Fantastic Mr. Fox

I read this today. I got it from the library. It's as long as 18 chapters!
Fantastic Mr. Fox is trying to get saved because three nasty farmers are trying to kill him. So, he digs down deep under the ground. Well, he helps Badger and the smallest of his four children (just one of them). He helps them by sneaking into each of the three farmers' farms and gets everything they need ready for their party. They are having a party with food and lots and lots of exciting stuff. I think.
My favorite part of the story was the beginning. And the middle. He was funny when he was trying to dig and the farmers were digging, too. The hill got crazier looking and crazier.
I liked it because some pictures looked funny like that cover. I really like Roald Dahl. He also writed The Magic Finger that I liked. I would give this book to 7 stars.

My kitty hat and the berry hat

What are you guys wearing around your necks? Noculars. So we could see farther. I had a compass, too. We were at Pisgah State Park. [That's Mt. Monadnock in the distance.]
I'm looking at my compass. It's telling me where I am. I'm a bit North, I think.
Oh! The leaves! Bastian's jumping. Oh! The leaves! Dorian's jumping. We built this pile of leaves at Pisgah State Park. We didn't go for a walk because I didn't want to. Because I was too tired. I was scared of hunters, too.
I threw all the leaves in the air. I had a good time. I said to Dorian, "Jumping in leaves is piles of fun!" That's from Toot and Puddle: The New Friend.

Dressin' up!

Dressing up makes me feel happy.
We're getting married! That's me and Lydia. Lydia is the person right next to me. She is my girlfriend. You know, Lydia is Lydia. I'm wearing a pretty prince dress and a special black hairdude (that's what Lydia calls hairdos) and some safety goggles for glasses. Lydia's wearing a great strong, red hairdude and holding 2 bunches of flowers, a pretty yellow dress and nice magical dust that she makes from her hands. Princess Lydia! Prince Sebastian!
I'm a superhero! I'm just Sebastian Montfort Paquette. I have no super powers. I'm wearing a blue silk cape and glasses.
That's both of us. We're both superheroes. Dorian, do you have a superhero name? No, my name's "Glasses."

Bump Bump Bumpety Bump

Well, once upon a time
I was climbing
On top of a rock
and then--
Bump!
And then
I climbed off.
But suddenly
I knew there was
Something
Under it and I peeked under it.
Nothing
Was there.
So, again I climbed on top of it.
And suddenly again--
Bump!
I climbed off and
Looked on top of the rock
And I saw that there was a
Sea turtle
On the top
And it was jumping!

Bike 02

I got a new bike today. It was just about this morning. I found it in the music room, it was that room with the toolbench. I thought it was wonderful! I love it! Grandma gave it to me.
I took this picture. I like the color red. It has a bell right next to the right handlebar.
I went for a bike ride this morning. It went very good. It's a comfortable bike.

Watch out! Don't forget it's my birthday! Bow bow!

We're eating lunch at my house for my birthday and Dorian's birthday. It isn't really our birthday. My birthday is November 6th. Dorian's birthday is November 10th. We were on our birthday party. I invited a lot of friends. I can't really say all of them. I don't really have time. I had Riley, David, Lydia! There's the White Pants!!!!! The White Pants is me, Lydia, Dorian and Daddy. We played 7 songs.Dorian's playing keyboards.
Lydia was singing and a guitarist. I was a guitarist, I sang a little bit of vocals and played drums. Daddy played drums and guitar. Dorian played keyboards. It was a great band!
We're playing with our toy noses. Those came from our goodie bags from iParty. The bags weren't from iParty, the noses were from iParty. I got a lot of presents. I remember a telescope, a camera, an autoharp and a toolbench. I remember some blue silk from Riley and a star planetarium from Lydia.
Set list for the White Pants 11/4/07
1. I hurt myself. Ow!
2. Good job!
3. I love this
4. the White Pants!!
5. The super!
6. This is an awesome ride
7. Now it's time for so long

In the spooooooky forest...

First, we were just going out from our house for the night of Halloween. So, there was one thing I didn't like which is that it was a spooky house. One room had the silliest thing I've ever seen: a werewolf watching TV. Hahaha. The room right next to it had a steaming white thing spreading all over the room. In the kitchen it was a bit less foggier. Then, we got sent into the spooooooky forest. The lady said something very nice before we went into the spooooky forest which is she said, "This is the most polite boy I've heard." That made me feel very good. My favorite candies that I got were Twizzlers, CherryHeads, and I even got some RedHots at Daddy's work. Nothing scared me except that house.
One man played a trick on me. The trick was that he joked that his dog was his daughter in a dog costume. But it wasn't really.

NeverNeverland

Tinkerbell and Peter Pan were a big hit around town yesterday. First, they visited Walker Farm for candy and mini pumpkins. Then, a trip around the cubicles at New Chapter reaped many rewards. Finally, a stop at Altiplano and Turn It Up! topped off the goodie bags. And they hadn't even gone trick-or-treating yet!
Wendy and John joined the magical pixies for trick-or-treating around the neighborhood, when their goodie bags were filled for the second time. Tinkerbell declined to be interviewed regarding this experience.

Happy Halloween!

I'm going to be Tinkerbell. My dad is going to be John, my mom is going to be Wendy, and Dorian's going to be Peter Pan. We have nobody else in the family to be Michael.
I'm going to go trick-or-treating today and tonight. Because tonight is Halloweeeeeeeen!!!! I'm going to visit Altiplano to see Quinn, go to Walker Farm to see Dustin and Cortney, and go to Daddy's work to show his coworkers my very special costume.
I have special shoes with pompoms on top. And I also have bells in my dress because that's the way Tinkerbell talks: tinkling.
You will see some pictures of me tomorrow.

Rat!!!!

I'm kissing the rat. The rat came from Daddy. One of his coworkers gave it to him to bring to me. And maybe also the dragon tree.
I had to pour some water into the bowl. I had to use several whole pitchers to get all of the water.
I'm holding the rat. It's GIANT!!! It worked pretty well because the package said: Grow a giant rat... ...But maybe I should be more welcome more often. That means I must be more smarter. I wasn't smart enough to know just what was happening to the rat. I didn't really notice when I wasn't looking at the rat.

Day for carving-- Yay!

I'm carving. I'm using a little saw to cut the face for my Jack-O'-lantern. I first scooped out the seeds and goopy stuff. Then, Mama started to scrape. Then, I helped scraping. Then, I drawed the face.
Until... Until... One special time for carving up. It was very, very easy.
My Jack-O'-lantern has a candle in it!

Nate the Great-- Grrr!

I read this book today, right after lunch. It's called Nate the Great by Marjorie Weinman Sharmat. It's about solving a problem. The problem was they had to find Annie's lost picture of her dog, Fang. What happened was that her little brother, Harry, had made it into a monster with red paint so it would turn into orange. How it turned orange was with some red paint. Annie painted it with yellow paint. How they figured out what happened was by looking at the picture and saw that all three others were red and that one was orange and that was very strange. Who figured it out was Nate the Great and Annie.
I just liked all of it. Will you others please read that same book? I might get another Nate the Great story from especially a book store, I think. Or from a library.

Show!

In the morning, I got a big idea. I thought what fun it would be to have a show. What I planned was to have costumes, books, cars, animals, bugs, and music. So we got out everything we needed from the backstage which was our bedroom and took it to the music room where we were going to perform. We made a program and I passed out tickets and we painted 2 billboards. (This show wasn't going to perform without passing out tickets.)
This is us in our costumes for a short Act 1.
Dorian's doing his butterfly. I'm performing the music. His butterfly flied and danced.
Dorian's holding Kermit the Frog. I think I'm starting to put down my guitar.
There I am a magical fairy. And what I did while I was a fairy was waving my wand and go Bing!
Right now I am fixing a chair. Dorian's playing the xylophone.I'm playing the drums. And we had lots of things for our show. Even a white curtain and a red ribbon to wrap it up when the curtain would open. Quinn helped do it. But the show did turn out well. We had a medium audience: Quinn, Cortney, Dustin, Jeremy, and Allison. And the audience did like the show. Especially Jeremy.

Spade

I got a spade yesterday. I got it from Sprout. I paid for it with one $20 bill from my birthday money. I got paid back because it didn't cost that much. My spade is for digging.
I'm digging. What job I decided to do when I grow up was road workin'. A road worker digs up the road. I don't know why. I was working on a show in the garden. Dorian's diggin', too. I feel very happy. I feel very happy. I feel very happy. I feel very happy. I was going to make an everything show. The snack was parsley.

Beads beads and patterns

I'm stringing beads to make a pattern on the pipe cleaner. I made 2 patterns of 4 beads on 1 pipe cleaner: red, orange, brown, yellow; and light blue, light green, dark green, purple. I had to repeat it 2 times to say the whole pattern. Mama's longest pattern was made out of 12 beads.Q: What is a pattern? A pattern is beads on a pipe cleaner that is the same thing 2 times. Can a pattern be made of something other than beads? Yes! Cookies. Marker dots. Dashes. Markers. Crayons. Paints. You can make a pattern almost about anything. Where are some places you can see patterns in our house? Black keys on keyboard. Knitting on the blanket. Music basket.
