Busy December Days

We were both in pictures and in the first one Alfred said, "Cheeseburger!" and in the second one he said, "Spaghetti and Meatballs!" That's what he said. I asked Santa for a 12 footed robot. I asked Santa for a Hershey's big bar and an orange.

I'm making this gingerbread guy. I didn't like the dark blue jelly bean.

I'm making a red and green gingerbread guy. We were doing it where we got to visit Santa and the place where Open Gym is held.

This is a picture from the snow day we had, luckily. I was waiting for a snow day from school. Finally, I got one. That's when we were out in the snow. I love it! We're behind a hill in partly our yard, partly the neighbor's yard.

This is a picture from the gingerbread party. Mine is the one which says "Shack O' Fun" and you probably know that because you can hardly see my blondish hairdo right near it. Lydia made the one that says "Ho-Ho Manor" and Riley's has an "R" on it I don't think you can see because it's not in the picture.
Christmas morning has finally come! Yeah, I liked it when I got that big Hershey's bar. And stuff. And stuff.

Sebastian, did Santa bring what you asked for? No. Grandma did. One of my favorite presents is my name made of wood. I put it on my bass drum. And I'm gonna keep it there when I'm drumming in the band. One of my favorite things is for the whole family: a chocolate orange. And it's cool that I really got what I wanted: a book called "The Christmas Cat"-- it's not what I wanted, but I like it. Daddy got something that is really cool-- chewy, double-flavored Lemonhead and friends. Dorian got a deep diver. I just love Christmas. It's one of my favorite holidays.

Crystal Minding Mining

I'm smashing this. It's called plaster. I'm trying to get all the crystals out. We had to wear a apron and we had to put the plaster on paper so it wouldn't go all over the table and it was fun. It was the first time I had my own. And Dad helped me and also we did some teamwork.

There's, like, a lot of plaster in this one and if you look, like, a little at the bottom you can see a crystal that we were trying to get out. I think it was the one we would get out the next day.

This one has paper with all the crystals on it. We got all of them out. There were 9 crystals. It said there were 8 on the thing. There's just 4 of us in this family, you know.

We had to use this brush and we got out the crystals from the water and we just scrubbed it off. I remember some of them. Two ones have "quartz" in them: rose quartz and clear quartz. But I forgot the other ones. It was fun getting out it. I think the clear quartz look very blank because they have no color.

I have this pouch, a magnifying glass, a brush and a hammer to do it. In this one, I'm holding the pouch. Dustin and Cortney gave this to me. Thanks, Dustin and Cortney! It was great! I thought it was really fun.

Birthday fun

[On November 7, for the boys' birthday present, we took them to the Montshire Museum for some science fun.]

We were on a balcony at the top picture. We haven't never been to the Montshire Museum and that was the first time we went there. We could see the park way down below. It was cool! I couldn't wait to go there after the fun inside.

This is the fog room. I got to stick my head down into a big pit of the fog. It felt a bit warm, but damp. There was also a yellow tube I could hold up and the fog would all spray out. It looked cool!

We were trying to make this dinosaur. We got to learn about paleontologists at this part. We like going on big adventures. This was a big, long day to go here at the Montshire Museum. We had fun. It was hard trying to make the dinosaur, but I finally got to finish it. It's kind of like a one-legged guy who's looking backwards while it's hopping.

[On November 14, we had a birthday party for the boys.]
Cake! Yummy old frosty candy old cake! Yummy yummy licorice, yummy yummy starbursts, yummy yummy m&ms. Yummy yummy cake! After a few days, I got to have some of the cake with ice cream for dessert. It's delicious!

Cake time is now! Let's have some cake! If you look at the top of the picture, you might think that we're sitting around a campfire. But if you think that, that's the wrong answer. It's really the candle flames on the cake.
Lydia! I love Lydia! We were playing "Pin the Machinery and Buttons on the Robot". I was 7 and I got one of the antennae on correctly with a blindfold, but I was surprised when I saw 8 year old Archer suddenly just stick the wire with the plug on backwards. It looked really silly. Another silly part of the game was when Dorian's friend Skyler stuck a button on upside down.

This is Cozmo and us. Cozmo is a robot. Dad and Sebastian made it. Sebastian made the buttons and Cozmo and screen and stuff like that. Dad made the feet and the body and arms and head-- like, that stuff. Cozmo is the completed robot that we made. If you look on the upper part of his body, you might see his name on the nameplate.

Field trip

I went to a field trip. I went to Stonewall Farm. We went to see this thing called the Great Pumpkin. The Great Pumpkin was sleeping when we got there. There were these rug seats you got to sit on. We yelled, "Wake up, Great Pumpkin!" The Great Pumpkin told us a story. When she was done, we got to pollinate the flowers-- the pumpkin flowers.

I'm pollinating a flower in this picture. They are yellow.
We got these pumpkins. We're gonna make a sweet snack with our pumpkins. At snack, we had apple cider and pumpkin cookies. I had fun eating the snack.

This picture we got to pick two apples and put them into this apple cider press. It didn't work out so fine, but there was this other thing. You had to push down this black thing and it would make the apple cider. It was attached.
The end. That's it.

Halloween

I was a mad scientist. I got a test tube that looked like it was glowing. And I got the idea because I liked stuff like mad scientists and also, I'm going to be a mad scientist when I grow up so that was the whole point of it. And then Dad put some big black splotches of face paint and bits of red so it looked like something exploded in front of me.
I was a skeleton. I got this whole idea. There was some face paint to make a whole skeleton. There's no red on a skeleton. Skeletons do not have red blood. Sometimes they do. Well, I like Trick or Treating. I got some Starbursts and a brown bag of m&ms. I like Trick or Treating on Halloween.
We had a whole crowd of people Trick or Treating with us. They were Archer and his family, Quinn and Amelia, and their parents, and Lucy's friend Lily and her mother the second grade teacher at my school, Pam Maile. Lucy had a different color of ours: pink.

We made a candy town! This is the picture of Sebastian's part. He made a passage way. I didn't really make a passage way but I made a lot of buildings. We had fun making our town out of candy.

Getting ready for Halloween

I was carving my pumpkin in the dining room. It was very great and then mom did it again. My whole family is me, Dorian, Allison, Sebastian and Jeremy. Sebastian made a pumpkin, too. Sebastian's one was smaller than mine. I like making pumpkins! Very great.

My pumpkin is named "Guy Smiley." Tonight, Trick or Treat!

I liked carving my pumpkin. I liked it because Dad was helping me out and I got to learn a lot of cool stuff about how to carve your pumpkin. For example, he taught me how to saw with the kiddie knife.

My pumpkin is named "Sicko" 'cause he's always sick. Because everywhere he goes he suddenly gets ill from a bunch of diseases. I was gonna add a bunch of flesh coming out of its mouth so it would look like it was puking. I'm gonna do that to make it really look sick right before we go Trick or Treating.

Happy Halloween!

Dancing, and how to make racing snails in a few small and easy steps

First, get an about 40cm wooden board (or 16 inches if you like to measure it differently). Then, color it green with oil pastels.

Then get all the parts you see on this picture (sorry, we forgot to put a spool of wire in this photo, but if you don't have any you can get some).

Then, you remember those steel cable straps from the last picture, don't you? Well, those are for the snail bodies. But we'll get back to that later. Now, you have to put one of those straps onto a part of the board-- any part you like. Also, you can put them in any order. Now, get 3 lock nuts and punch holes in some safety tape and stick them onto the lock nuts. (Two on each one.) And put dots on them to make eyes. Then screw a metal washer onto each of the lock nuts but don't start screwing until you have put on a wing nut on top of it to make antennae. After that the final thing in this step is to twist in with a wrench a screw eyelet on the opposite side of the cable strap.

Next, put a small silver bell inside the small snail. But you can put in a gold one if it fits. Tie it on with wire. Then, put some nail polish over the knot. For the bigger ones, color some metal washers on one of them and use at least three. Then, do the same thing with the wire and nail polish. Finally, find a small aluminum disc and do the exact same thing once again with the wire and nail polish. The bell will ring when the wind comes. Also when the wind comes, the aluminum disc will spin and the washers will clang together.

The snails are gonna be really cool as soon as you make them. Making it is fun! And it's also fun to look at them and enjoy it. Now here's a cool movie about Dorian dancing:

I love doing dancing movies! They're really good. Mom makes movies of me doing the dance moves on the camera. I saw it. It was a good dance move. It's really good doing dance moves on my movies. It's a good dance move and it makes you good exercise. It's great when you really have energy-- a lot of energy-- you're really good to make you play outside for a little time. It makes me good and feel cozy. I like it!

My field trip

One day, I went to a field trip at Green Mountain Orchard and we got to have a hay ride.

It was fun! The hay ride went all around the farm. Yes, it did! It was a fun ride. I got to sit next to Jack. After the hay ride, we got to have snack. It was apple cider to drink and cider doughnuts. They were really good. Well, I didn't want to really drink the cider, so Emmett's mom threw it in the grass. Then it was great.
I love picking apples. We picked some on the field trip, you know. I liked picking the apples for the apple pie.

It was great. Yummy yum yum yum. I love apples!

Labor Day News

The Labor Day news for today is that I have just learned to ride my bike on only 2 wheels. Lucky me! Was it easy or was it hard work to learn? It was easy. Yeah. It's really easy.

Dorian

Dorian is my name. I like going to West Bee nursery school. Next Monday it will be a holiday and Dad and Sebastian will stay home. And it will be very fun on that day. What should we do? It's gonna be fun-- I'm just telling you.

I do recess and I put my bee up and lots of things. Hunter is one of my friends and he's a good boy. And I listen to my teachers. And I do lots of stuff there but one thing I don't do is this [throws his giraffe blanket in the air]-- there's no pillows and blankets there. It's really fun there and there's 3 teachers there. And I love my mama.

The End. That's it.

Hairdo to hairdo

What's going on with your hair, Dorian? Look at my fluffy hairdo! Do you think it is very crazy in my hair?

Look at our hairdos. Both of ours are all messy, but soon you'll see what happened in only a half hour. So it probably only took 15 minutes each.

This is a great day! I love my hairdo! It's crazy and funny. I think we look very handsome.

The Trip to Six Flags

Going to Six Flags was really fun. That's what I was gonna say. These are 3 of my favorite rides: Captain Feathersword's Rockin' Pirate Ship, The Hot Air Balloon Chase, and The Big Red Planes. Did you go on all of them? I did go on those 3, that's why I said that. No! Did you go on all of them? All the rides in the whole 6 Flags? Yeah. No, I didn't. Because some of those were a bit too scary. And another one of my favorites was the Take Me to Your Leader Rocket Ride.

I went on most of them with Dad. One I had to go on myself was the Harold Helicopters from Thomas Town. But I had to go with Dad on the Bertie Bus 'cause I was a bit scared at first. One more thing-- if you go on there and you feel like you are gonna get your stomach sick, just scream! And make the thing stop. No, Dorian! Don't say that! Only if you feel like you're gonna fall out and bonk your head, make the thing stop.

And my meal was like all fast food. I had bottled water with a hot dog, french fries and onion rings.

Santa's Land

I am pretending on the sled of Santa's Land. Whee! This is fun! I'm actually sitting on a bench. Silly me!

I'm putting a letter in Santa's mailbox. I wrote "Santa" on it. I think he's getting it out today.
Yummy yummy yum! I love this ice cream. It's chocolate!
Why we went to Santa's Land is I wanted to find all the elves but one of them were missing. It was the one in the elf house. Sebastian and Daddy were at 6 Flags that day. Well, I had fun at Santa's Land, you know. It was really really really fun. Muchy duchy so. It was a really fun day there.

The End. That's it.

At the beach

We liked going to the beach. It was really fun going to the beach. We liked it. I mean, we loved it!

Look, I'm just sitting in the sand for a while.

We are on the Beach Plum crab sittin' for a while. Right? Yes, but you mean lobster. You get ice cream at the Beach Plum. How much ice cream? A lot.

Yeah, there's Milky Way. And you are having gum. Bubble gum? Yeah, but I don't like bubble gum. "Can I please have the Milky Way?" I said when I got there. My ice cream was alright but it kept dripping. And it was filled with all these tiny pieces of gum that I finally couldn't stand. So, Mom had to throw my ice cream away.
Sebastian is doing the shooting gallery. You have to shoot these targets and the things do different kinds of animation. Like, the ghost lights up. And the piano player plays a piano. Two of them. Yeah.
This is the puppet show I was watching. It maked everything do stuff. It was very fun watching it. It had a song in it. It went, "Old MacDonald had a farm..." and so on.
Whee! I'm riding on Dad's shoulders. It was very fun, but when we went to Seagull Island it was high tide, so we had to go back. Dad almost stubbed his toe on a rock.

I'm sittin' on the rock here, but it may look like I'm walking on water with part of my bottom on a rock. He looks very cool in that picture. Thank you, Dorian.

I'm jumping really high. Well, I was jumping the waves. That's what I was doing. I liked going boogie boarding at the beach. It felt good.

We are at Little Island. Little Island is a very small island near Plover Point. We named all of them.
