Visit to the Green Mountain Orchard

We went Green Mountain Orchard because we wanted to pick apples. I love to do it!
I'm standing about with the hot spiced cider. We got that because we were thirsty and we wanted to warm up.
We're eating apples! I don't remember what kind we're eating. We picked Northern Spy, Golden, Macoun, Jonagold, Mutsu, Gala, and Empire.
DeeDee's a Northern Spy!!
Mama's up in the tree, and I can't believe it.I see a barrel. I took this picture. Did you know that?
There's a reindeer and last night I was dreaming of anteaters...
...I loved apple pickin'. Those are chickens. I took this picture, too.
There's the farmer. It's Nico, Noah's friend. He's talking with us. He's driving a tractor. You may know this already because you may have seen this kind of vehicle before. On the front of his tractor, he has a fork picking up a box full of pumpkins.

Artwork

I'm gluing. I wanted to make this because I felt like it. So, Mama got out the most supplies of all the kinds of papers, and I got out the scissors and glue. I wanted to be an artist when I grew up. This is an artist who also made pictures like what I'm making: his name was Matisse. The pictures we saw by him were ones that looked like people. But for this one I used more paper of different colors. He just used blue. But I used purple, green, blue, black. Those people pictures were called The Blue Nude.
It's called The Unknown United States of America. There's a little star in the middle. That star represents part of the flag.
Dorian strung beads on a string. He made a necklace.
I'm filling the muffin pan with beads. What kept happening with the beads was they kept falling on the floor. OOOOOOOO!!!!

Buddy bucket

I'm coming out of the buddy bucket.
I see Dorian in the buddy bucket. Dorian came out without making a sound. It was my idea to get inside the buddy bucket. I put it on my head like a big hat, I sat inside it and I also went under it.

Snore ashore at last

I see an alpaca. And sheep.
It's the little pond. I saw a crawdad in the water. This was at Scott Farm. We went there to pick apples, but then we didn't because Dorian was having a freak out.

Paintin'

I'm paintin'. I'm painting on plastic. It was different from painting on paper because it was plastic instead. I was doing this painting about 10:00 in the morning.
I'm makin' water. I was painting a show.
Dorian got paint in his hair. I don't know what he's painting.
We're still painting the show; look at the big Wordville show!
And then we had to go for a bath. I'm painting myself with some finger paint fun soap.

Medieval Fair!

I'm wearing a shield and sword. I'm pretending to be a knight in armor.

I got the sword out of the stone! Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!That's me. I'm the lady and Dorian's the knight in armor. I had a good time here. It was in Putney. I went on a slide. I also climbed a ladder into a horsey. What?! ? !

Poem

There is water
On a flower
And a poem
Is made of words
But best of all
There is a book
That is made
Just for you!

Stonewall Farm's 500th visit

I'm driving on the tractor. I'm turning the wheel. I'm pulling a lever. I'm changing the gear.
Dorian's swingin' on the swing.
I'm lookin' in the telescope. I was calling that play structure "The Pirate Ship."
I'm lookin' through the telescope again. And when I slid down the slide it was really really fast. WHOOSH!!!
I went to Stonewall Farm to play. And I liked playing on the tractor and the pirate ship. And I also liked the ride on the slide, but I didn't turn the wheel because I wasn't the pretend captain. So that's why. We saw chickens and bunnies and 2 chickens loose. And we even saw some horses. When we were in the field by the playground we saw lots and lots of cows. But we didn't see the sheep!

Apple Upside-down Cake-- Yay!

I'm getting the brown sugar out. What I did with the brown sugar was pack it down, and get the sugar out from the bag. Where I put the brown sugar was in the pan.
Then we made our apple parts.
I'm cracking an egg!!!
Now I'm pouring in some milk.
I'm trying on putting on the batter. We were making 2 cakes for me and DeeDee and for Mama and Dada.
Recipe for Apple Upside-down Cake
First, I put in the brown sugar (1/2 cup) in the pan. Then, you put in some apple slices. Then you make the batter. You put in it cinnamon, some milk, 2 eggs, 2 flours--whole wheat flour and all-purpose flour, vanilla, baking powder, salt, and a stick of butter. And I put in Domino sugar. Then you put the batter in the cakes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Keep preheating oven for 45 minutes. The cakes should be, at this point, very yummy. They should be, at this point, inside the oven. Then, you have to take it out of the oven. It's called an upside-down cake because you flip the cake upside-down onto a plate. It tasted DEEELICIOUS!!!

Bookworm earthworms

It's so funny! We're doing the "Aah Doop Doop!" game. You only lean over part of Dorian's bed and say, "Aah Doop Doop!" We also have been playing hide and seek. We also play spacecraft. We only go under some blankets and wait until a person comes near. And then when we're done playing spacecraft, we do something else.

Music, Maisy, kids, father, mother, and cake

That's the band! [Cymbal sounds] We played Hotel Yorba as the last song.
Oh, that's a funny DeeDee! He was dancing around with Maisy. He was also helping Maisy play the keyboard.
That's me and DeeDee and the cake and Maisy having breakfast. The cake was having egg, peach and 6 pieces of orange. Maisy was having 7 pieces of the other orange. I had an imaginary piece of orange the cake gave to me. And also, Maisy had one slice of apple and a cereal bowl.

Yay!!!!!

I was making a great volcano with Daddy. In this picture, I'm putting in some vinegar. How much was up to one cup.
Now, I'm pouring it into the bottle. When baking soda goes in there, it's going to explode out.
Now I'm measuring the baking soda. 2 teaspoons
I'm burying the bottle in the sandbox.
This is the bottle all buried up.
I'm putting in the baking soda. I'm using a funnel.
That's all the explosion.
Look at all it!!!!!! It was fun to do this experiment with Daddy. I'll do it again!

Frontier

I was in a frontier
By the station of a train
And I saw someone eating
A bag of Cheesy Weises.
In the train was that person
But then I decided not to see that
So I went back home.

Pea-lings

Pea-lings, bean-lings
It's a kitchen sink. It's nobody's kitchen sink. It's not buyed yet, that's all. [Sebastian sniffs.] The yellow is the tubes for gas. The blue is the tubes for the water. [Sebastian sniffs again.] Gas for a sink is to make it work. They are selling this kitchen sink at Kitchen Sync. Kitchen Sync is down the street.
I went to the library at Vernon and also I went to a clothing store. What I did there was run around.

Flowers

Flowers bloom
In northern showers.
Heaps are made of
Autumn leaves.
Flowers like to drink water.
But if I don't doubt it,
I really doubt it!

Six Redheads

I was frightened
When I saw
Six redheads one day.
The redheads chased me.
I ran
And I ran
All the way home.

Rain002

This is the one hundredth rainfall. I'm looking down with a stick. What day this was was the day before the day before yesterday.
Dorian's in the puddle. I'm looking at him.
I'm in the puddle. Dorian's looking at me.
I'm drinking water. The water's coming from the cloud.
Dorian's on the steps. I'm looking not at him. I'm looking down at the ground to see if any bugs are coming out. I got that raingear from LL Bean. Grandma sent my new boots and the rain coats. It feels good to be out in the rain. It's different because the clouds aren't gray when it's not raining. The rain felt quite a soft shower on me.

Greece Greece Grack!

I'm learning about Greece on my homeschooling. I have been doing my Greece Top Secret Adventure. And my dad read to me each evening some Greek myths. My favorite and funniest one was about Athena and Arachne. What happened to Arachne is she turned into a spider. Ooooooh! And everything good happened to Athena. And a funny part of Zeus is because he grabbed a thunderbolt and threw it at the ground. We learned that Lydia, Dorian and Sebastian are names that are Greek. Athena is a person that I know at my old school. Mimi's name is a Greek one, too. And we also got a book about Greek food. Yogurt, pasta, olives and other fruits and vegetables and fish are yummy and for the midday meal. What happens before the midday meal starts is that shops close, people get out of work and children are let out of school. There is a Greek mandolin called a bouzouki. We just learned that the flag looks like our flag except it has that little window looking thing. And we thought those colors were for something but then the blue was for the water and the white cross is for the Greek church. And I think the white stripes are for salt water.

Nothing but a worry

Today, Sebastian has been very worried. He is worried about some of the things his adult friends do. All of the worries I worried. Just write in italics all of the things I worried about.
Sebastian saw our friend Josh on the street today, and Josh was smoking. This makes Sebastian very sad because he is afraid Josh will die. His whole body will be unhealthy. He also worried that his friend Noah might accidentally shoot him with his gun. Because I don't even want one. My picture is a bouncy ball hitting me on the head because it is so hard. It goed up and goed on my head and then the whole thing started all over again. These worries make me feel really sad! What can you do about it? Nothing--just just just nothing! I can't do anything about it. What did you try to do about it with Josh? Save his life. I told him that it wasn't healthy.

Italic and bold

Italic and bold are much behold. But I have something beyond. A picture frame!
I was putting on shells with glue. Those shells came from the ocean. I got them from the sand when I goed to the beach. I also glued on rocks and I glued on one penny.
