Happy Halloween!
I'm going to be Tinkerbell. My dad is going to be John, my mom is going to be Wendy, and Dorian's going to be Peter Pan. We have nobody else in the family to be Michael.
I'm going to go trick-or-treating today and tonight. Because tonight is Halloweeeeeeeen!!!! I'm going to visit Altiplano to see Quinn, go to Walker Farm to see Dustin and Cortney, and go to Daddy's work to show his coworkers my very special costume.
I have special shoes with pompoms on top. And I also have bells in my dress because that's the way Tinkerbell talks: tinkling.
You will see some pictures of me tomorrow.

Rat!!!!
I'm kissing the rat. The rat came from Daddy. One of his coworkers gave it to him to bring to me. And maybe also the dragon tree.
I had to pour some water into the bowl. I had to use several whole pitchers to get all of the water.
I'm holding the rat. It's GIANT!!! It worked pretty well because the package said: Grow a giant rat... ...But maybe I should be more welcome more often. That means I must be more smarter. I wasn't smart enough to know just what was happening to the rat. I didn't really notice when I wasn't looking at the rat.

Day for carving-- Yay!
I'm carving. I'm using a little saw to cut the face for my Jack-O'-lantern. I first scooped out the seeds and goopy stuff. Then, Mama started to scrape. Then, I helped scraping. Then, I drawed the face.
Until... Until... One special time for carving up. It was very, very easy.
My Jack-O'-lantern has a candle in it!

Nate the Great-- Grrr!
I read this book today, right after lunch. It's called Nate the Great by Marjorie Weinman Sharmat. It's about solving a problem. The problem was they had to find Annie's lost picture of her dog, Fang. What happened was that her little brother, Harry, had made it into a monster with red paint so it would turn into orange. How it turned orange was with some red paint. Annie painted it with yellow paint. How they figured out what happened was by looking at the picture and saw that all three others were red and that one was orange and that was very strange. Who figured it out was Nate the Great and Annie.
I just liked all of it. Will you others please read that same book? I might get another Nate the Great story from especially a book store, I think. Or from a library.

Show!
In the morning, I got a big idea. I thought what fun it would be to have a show. What I planned was to have costumes, books, cars, animals, bugs, and music. So we got out everything we needed from the backstage which was our bedroom and took it to the music room where we were going to perform. We made a program and I passed out tickets and we painted 2 billboards. (This show wasn't going to perform without passing out tickets.)
This is us in our costumes for a short Act 1.
Dorian's doing his butterfly. I'm performing the music. His butterfly flied and danced.
Dorian's holding Kermit the Frog. I think I'm starting to put down my guitar.
There I am a magical fairy. And what I did while I was a fairy was waving my wand and go Bing!
Right now I am fixing a chair. Dorian's playing the xylophone.I'm playing the drums. And we had lots of things for our show. Even a white curtain and a red ribbon to wrap it up when the curtain would open. Quinn helped do it. But the show did turn out well. We had a medium audience: Quinn, Cortney, Dustin, Jeremy, and Allison. And the audience did like the show. Especially Jeremy.

Spade
I got a spade yesterday. I got it from Sprout. I paid for it with one $20 bill from my birthday money. I got paid back because it didn't cost that much. My spade is for digging.
I'm digging. What job I decided to do when I grow up was road workin'. A road worker digs up the road. I don't know why. I was working on a show in the garden. Dorian's diggin', too. I feel very happy. I feel very happy. I feel very happy. I feel very happy. I was going to make an everything show. The snack was parsley.

Beads beads and patterns
I'm stringing beads to make a pattern on the pipe cleaner. I made 2 patterns of 4 beads on 1 pipe cleaner: red, orange, brown, yellow; and light blue, light green, dark green, purple. I had to repeat it 2 times to say the whole pattern. Mama's longest pattern was made out of 12 beads.Q: What is a pattern? A pattern is beads on a pipe cleaner that is the same thing 2 times. Can a pattern be made of something other than beads? Yes! Cookies. Marker dots. Dashes. Markers. Crayons. Paints. You can make a pattern almost about anything. Where are some places you can see patterns in our house? Black keys on keyboard. Knitting on the blanket. Music basket.

Visit to the Green Mountain Orchard
We went Green Mountain Orchard because we wanted to pick apples. I love to do it!
I'm standing about with the hot spiced cider. We got that because we were thirsty and we wanted to warm up.
We're eating apples! I don't remember what kind we're eating. We picked Northern Spy, Golden, Macoun, Jonagold, Mutsu, Gala, and Empire.
DeeDee's a Northern Spy!!
Mama's up in the tree, and I can't believe it.I see a barrel. I took this picture. Did you know that?
There's a reindeer and last night I was dreaming of anteaters...

...I loved apple pickin'. Those are chickens. I took this picture, too.
There's the farmer. It's Nico, Noah's friend. He's talking with us. He's driving a tractor. You may know this already because you may have seen this kind of vehicle before. On the front of his tractor, he has a fork picking up a box full of pumpkins.

Artwork
I'm gluing. I wanted to make this because I felt like it. So, Mama got out the most supplies of all the kinds of papers, and I got out the scissors and glue. I wanted to be an artist when I grew up. This is an artist who also made pictures like what I'm making: his name was Matisse. The pictures we saw by him were ones that looked like people. But for this one I used more paper of different colors. He just used blue. But I used purple, green, blue, black. Those people pictures were called The Blue Nude.
It's called The Unknown United States of America. There's a little star in the middle. That star represents part of the flag.
Dorian strung beads on a string. He made a necklace.
I'm filling the muffin pan with beads. What kept happening with the beads was they kept falling on the floor. OOOOOOOO!!!!

Paintin'
I'm paintin'. I'm painting on plastic. It was different from painting on paper because it was plastic instead. I was doing this painting about 10:00 in the morning.
I'm makin' water. I was painting a show.
Dorian got paint in his hair. I don't know what he's painting.
We're still painting the show; look at the big Wordville show!
And then we had to go for a bath. I'm painting myself with some finger paint fun soap.

Poem
There is water
On a flower
And a poem
Is made of words
But best of all
There is a book
That is made
Just for you!

Stonewall Farm's 500th visit
I'm driving on the tractor. I'm turning the wheel. I'm pulling a lever. I'm changing the gear.
Dorian's swingin' on the swing.
I'm lookin' in the telescope. I was calling that play structure "The Pirate Ship."
I'm lookin' through the telescope again. And when I slid down the slide it was really really fast. WHOOSH!!!

I went to Stonewall Farm to play. And I liked playing on the tractor and the pirate ship. And I also liked the ride on the slide, but I didn't turn the wheel because I wasn't the pretend captain. So that's why. We saw chickens and bunnies and 2 chickens loose. And we even saw some horses. When we were in the field by the playground we saw lots and lots of cows. But we didn't see the sheep!

Apple Upside-down Cake-- Yay!
I'm getting the brown sugar out. What I did with the brown sugar was pack it down, and get the sugar out from the bag. Where I put the brown sugar was in the pan.
Then we made our apple parts.
I'm cracking an egg!!!
Now I'm pouring in some milk.
I'm trying on putting on the batter. We were making 2 cakes for me and DeeDee and for Mama and Dada.

Recipe for Apple Upside-down Cake
First, I put in the brown sugar (1/2 cup) in the pan. Then, you put in some apple slices. Then you make the batter. You put in it cinnamon, some milk, 2 eggs, 2 flours--whole wheat flour and all-purpose flour, vanilla, baking powder, salt, and a stick of butter. And I put in Domino sugar. Then you put the batter in the cakes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Keep preheating oven for 45 minutes. The cakes should be, at this point, very yummy. They should be, at this point, inside the oven. Then, you have to take it out of the oven. It's called an upside-down cake because you flip the cake upside-down onto a plate. It tasted DEEELICIOUS!!!
