The Adventures at Mme. Sherri Forest

We went to Mme. Sherri Forest on June 27th, 2009. We saw a lot of fungi and animals there. And we were down at the pond, we were on the rocks, and we pretended the rocks was a spaceship.

We saw a lot of frogs. Here are just a few of them. They were great! Fantastic! They were just hopping around. Some of them were mating, too. What does mating mean? I can't really explain it.

This is Indian pond. I like going with Daddy to the Indian pond. I saw 3 beaver dams. I'm 3!

We are at the Sherri Forest house that broke a little bit. A lot a bit. We were going in the house a lot. We saw a snake in the house. A garter snake. It looked scary. At least it wasn't a king cobra. Cuz those ones really make you die. I liked being at Mme. Sherri Forest.

The wonders of water

We're at Mme. Sherri Forest. We caught a lot of tadpoles. In fact, we had a tadpole collection that was a new record. Ukiah was there. He's my friend. His sister, Tallulah, was there with his mother, Megan. We had a fun, roly poly, rockin' bockin' good time.

I got a tadpole. Tadpoles go to the moon.
I'm in a house. It's a nature house.

I'm playing guitar and Dorian's drumming. We're at Mme. Sherri Forest.
I'm bending down low. I was going to jump like a frog.
MAMA CAUGHT A FROG! We caught just 3. We let it free because we don't want to take it home. It's too slimy. It's covered with slime because it was in the water.
That's me, my friend Cortney, my little brother DeeDee and my mother Allison. (right to left) Cortney's a nice woman. And she has orangey blond yellow hair, beautiful eyes and pink skin. She loves to talk with us. And she is fantastic!

We're just about out of the car and about to begin our walking ride. Which way we needed to go is up and across. Up and left. How far it was was longer than Black Mountain. It was .5 miles. To get to Indian Pond is at Mme. Sherri Forest. And Mt. Wantastiquet.
Here's a little red eft. And after the little lion we went into the big tiger.

I'm sitting on the picnic rock. I'm looking at the pond. We saw lots of frogs and a leech-- a giant one! We saw a woodpecker.
I'm balance walking on this log.

Mme. Sherri Forest fun

Mama forgot the camera, but guess what we saw?
A snake! And it was going with its head up and its tongue went up and down really fast. And we saw a frog. And she caught that one and it was so big that it tried hop out of the net. So she let it go. And then it went back in the water and it sat on a log. It was as the size of a softball. And what we caught and put in the bucket was a little froglet. Froglet means a frog but still its tail is out. And we saw a snapping turtle. And it was just scooting slooowly slooowly slow. And we saw a leech.

The sparks were cool. How you made those sparks is you got to push really hard.

The salamanders-- no way!

We had three salamanders and a leech and a water skeeter and we didn't know what to do! We got them in our net. We put them in a bucket of water. Something special is what we had is I just loved the leech. It's like a snake but it's fat and it doesn't hiss.

I was at Mme. Sherri Forest. We went back there to catch everything we could find.

The frog was silly. It came from the water pond. Mama caught it. We didn't put in in the bucket, but it's in this picture. We didn't put it in the bucket because it might hop out.

We're setting all the animals free. We found 6 salamanders, 1 leech and 1 water skeeter. We found 1 weird water bug. The salamanders looked different. Because 2 are light green, 2 are dark green and 1 was orange. Some had orange spots. There were only a few that had spots.

This drawing is a leech. What it says on the top is "Salamander" and the salamander says, "He's catching me!" I drawed these pictures at Mme. Sherri Forest. I was sitting on a very, very tall, big rock. It's an art adventure and science adventure.

Madame Sherri Forest-- I love it because everything is good there

We went to Mme. Sherri Forest, the ruined castle. There was a house that crashed down because there was a fire.
I was about to eat my apple. My apple got a little dirty.

We saw salamanders. We saw some with orange spots and some red spots on its back and I loved them. I wished I hugged them and kissed them.
