At the beach

We liked going to the beach. It was really fun going to the beach. We liked it. I mean, we loved it!

Look, I'm just sitting in the sand for a while.

We are on the Beach Plum crab sittin' for a while. Right? Yes, but you mean lobster. You get ice cream at the Beach Plum. How much ice cream? A lot.

Yeah, there's Milky Way. And you are having gum. Bubble gum? Yeah, but I don't like bubble gum. "Can I please have the Milky Way?" I said when I got there. My ice cream was alright but it kept dripping. And it was filled with all these tiny pieces of gum that I finally couldn't stand. So, Mom had to throw my ice cream away.
Sebastian is doing the shooting gallery. You have to shoot these targets and the things do different kinds of animation. Like, the ghost lights up. And the piano player plays a piano. Two of them. Yeah.
This is the puppet show I was watching. It maked everything do stuff. It was very fun watching it. It had a song in it. It went, "Old MacDonald had a farm..." and so on.
Whee! I'm riding on Dad's shoulders. It was very fun, but when we went to Seagull Island it was high tide, so we had to go back. Dad almost stubbed his toe on a rock.

I'm sittin' on the rock here, but it may look like I'm walking on water with part of my bottom on a rock. He looks very cool in that picture. Thank you, Dorian.

I'm jumping really high. Well, I was jumping the waves. That's what I was doing. I liked going boogie boarding at the beach. It felt good.

We are at Little Island. Little Island is a very small island near Plover Point. We named all of them.

Beach trip

Our favorite thing at going to the beach was stepping on rocks. I like doin'.
We're laughing at each other. We are not. Yes.
Look how high the water's coming up. Dorian and Daddy. The others are me and Uncle Jamie.
Wow. I don't exactly know what we are doing.
I'm stepping on sand castles. We made those castles by dripping little pieces of mud on it. We call it a drip castle. And there was fishes, too.

This is a big bowling movie. Enjoy it!
We're playing air hockey. I'm against Dorian. I'm against Sebastian.

We are going on a fun carousel. Yeah. And it goes bzzzzz. How does it go bzzzz? "Whee!" we said.

We are mermaids. I'm Lydia the mermaid. I'm Emma the mermaid. We were saying cheese. This is what they have to say:

Lydia: How are you doing, Emma?

Emma: What?

L: I said, how are you doing?

E: Good.

Nothing

At Lake Spofford. Hmmm. Hmmm-mmm-mmm. Picking sand.
Swim, swim, swim. Pee in the bathroom. I want to go to Lake Spofford.
[I'm sorry we haven't been posting as often lately. I'm afraid our pictures are getting a little redundant since we basically do the same things everyday. Sebastian has been hard at work drawing and writing, so I will try to scan some of his output in the coming week.]

Do you know how to swim in the sand?

Swimming. Lydia's just swimming in the water.
Whoo hoo hoo! It's the best day! I like swimming.
I don't know. I'm sleeping. Why would someone be sleeping at such a wonderful place?
Amanda. Davy Bavy. He's sleeping.
[The wee ones got a little worn out after 4 hours at the beach.]

Italic and bold

Italic and bold are much behold. But I have something beyond. A picture frame!
I was putting on shells with glue. Those shells came from the ocean. I got them from the sand when I goed to the beach. I also glued on rocks and I glued on one penny.

This is positively perfect

I didn't have a whole body of a fish, I only had a mermaid tail. And it grew and it grew! A mermaid swims around. And I owned my home.

Sicatodium-- that means very silly!

We went to Kittery Trading Post and it was so sicatodium that there were animals in there. I'm being so silly in the Busytown car. I'm riding with Dorian and Lowly.
I'm standin' on the rocks. How we got there is just whoowheesht.
This is a little tide pool. And who is living there are little snails.
I was a seagull but I was tired. Seagulls steal other birds' food. I was running around to the seagulls but every time they just flew away. But I wanted them to be my friend.
Mama's holding out her treasures. Sea glass and a crab shell and a rock.

Beach 02

It's today. I'm walking in the water. Jumpin' over tide pools and also waves.
When this wave came, I almost got dunked.
DeeDee's lookin' so funny. He's all sandy and wet and dirty. And wrong looking. That means he's looking a little wrong. There is no butter on him. But most of all, you don't put any on him because that never happens.

Beach

We drived to an ocean house one day. Almost after a year, but a little shorter than that. After the company picnic. I have my collecting bucket.
I'm standing in the water. It feeled very co-ol-ol-ol-ol-ol-old.
We're walking on the wet sand but we can't find anything. It's true, but Mama says it's not true. Right, Mama? There are all kinds of things there. There are no kinds of things there. Dorian's picking up a shiny, dim shell.
