Art on Friday

Right in the picture you can see some of the artwork that I made for the show. The title of my artwork was called, "Sights from inside a reconfigured UFO." Mine was called "Mocha"-- yeah, yeah yeah! Sarah made a really cool piece of artwork and I like it because it has a bird swinging and clouds hanging in front of a background made of sewn together fabric of all different kinds. I think one of them was the kind that makes jeans.

Do you see in this picture that I'm waving 2 fingers?

There were 3 people that I saw looking at mine and Dorian's artwork and liked it. We had a conversation about what our artwork was called and what's in the pictures and how long it really took to make it and how much money it cost. Mine cost $78.94. Mine was $11 and no cents. I think that somebody will probably buy mine because it has so much stuff in it but I partly doubt it because it cost so much money that they'll have to have a lot of money to buy the whole thing. I want to have a whole show sometime-- just my artwork. I'm a good artist, you know.

Love ya!

These are some flowers and more

[You may click on the individual images to enlarge.]
See that pink flower? That's a rose. The next one is a rainbow flower. Next, the cotton. It used to be the first prize cotton. Next, the cream flower. Next, root. And, now, last, the egg flower.
Look! Look at all these cuties! PacMan, Inky, the cute periscope, her friend the zigzagger, too.
This one may look good. Do you like it? The zigzagger, his friend the periscope, Inky, PacMan, Mr. Electronics, Mrs. TV and Robot the robot.
Coming up... the White Pants! These are the CDs: Vol.1-- Heaven and Me, Vol.2-- Hey!, and Vol.3-- Fireworks.
Coming soon... Come to the White Pants' concert! I made these 3 dimensional pictures.

Gumbasia-- a place where there is clay animation to be made

I'm making a clay machine.
Now I made all of it. Look how pretty it is! It does milk-making, it turns water (right) into milk (left). It goes out that black pipe. It looks kind of bluish, but it's right coming out sideways from the white.

Marble Madness

The best thing ever! I wonder if this was robotic movie animation or not. I loved the movie when I finally saw it. I made this wonderful set-up of block stuff that I just thought it would be good to have an animated movie with it. I made it with many non-colored wood blocks, but some were colored. I was reading a book about this game that was very cool called Marble Madness. It was a tricky video game. We made a movie with it and put a Ratatat song along with it. I loved it! You'll love it, too.

Houseboats Rule

I animated this movie with Daddy. I did it by Daddy taking lots of pictures of things that moved. I mean, like, stuff like I added blocks and did stuff with them. Then, he put them onto a video maker of showing movies or pictures that could turn into a real good movie just like the mini-golfing. This is what I want to be doing more of. Watch this movie!

The movie tells a story. Once upon a time, there were 2 men. They built a house and saw what it looked like. Then they went inside. It looked good. Then they painted it. They came back out and watched it. Then they took a ride in their sailboats. Then they went back to their home.

Finally, I'm doing pottery!

I've got all ready. I have my apron on. I'm about to turn the wheel.
Now, I've poked a hole.
I made a great brown pot.
I'm putting lots of chunks on. Soon my pot will be about to be ready to dry. This is a different, white pot. It's unique than all the others.
Aren't I doing a good job? I made a lid. It's Rob's duty to do some pottery.

Making birds

We are making a contest. You have to guess the names of which bird they are. We looked in a Vermont bird book to see which birds we wanted to make.

You have to put your guesses in a comment. Whoever names the most birds correctly wins a great surprising prize! How long you have to do it is until May 2nd.
We were going to make with these birds a bird spinner.

I made a simple picture

I started out by gluing on eggs. They were blue eggs, robin's eggs.
I make a "c". I make a flying v and another "c" and a "g".
After I put on the eggs, then I put on the nest. The nest is made out of yarn. I put that on by gluing it.
I glued on some yarn. Glue. It made out of brown.
Then I put on a robin, then ourselves saying "Wow" and the robin redbreast was flying to get a worm, for an egg was shaking and tipped over. That's because the biggest baby was in there trying to get out. The worm's just crawling around, scooting. Scoot Scoot!

Maps

We made a pirate map. I mostly see a ship, islands, mermaids and more. I was drawing stuff, but it's too hard to explain.
What can you see? Can you see islands? Can you see a pirate ship? Can you see a whale? There's even a sea serpent. I would like to be a pirate. Only pretending, haha.

Title, title, I don't know weirdos

We were making weirdos and monsters. We were using Ed Emberley's Drawing Book of Weirdos. I was drawing the devil, Godzilla, and a goblin.
Here's the close-up of what I drew. It is called "Hell."

Look. Mama made a skeleton, a goblin and a baby one, a devil and a vampire bat.

I'm painting and this experiment is called "Crayon Resist"

I'm painting! We first drew with crayons. Then, we painted with watercolor paints.
Look at my painting! It's beautiful, isn't it?
When we paint over top of the crayon, it resists.
I'm doing the painting. I make some, uh, a hot dog. Spirals! I made some holes. I made a pit. I made some circles around the tooch. What's a tooch? It's kind of a booch, like a strawberry, like a "v".

Thumbprints on the roll

We got a book for using of thumbprints. I don't really remember what it's called. [Ed Emberley's Great Funprint Drawing Book] It was great! We make a thumbprint by putting a thumb into a colored stamp pad, push it down, and write down the other designs that should be made with a pen.
I made a scared elephant, a happy man, a frog, and a spider! [right to left]

Pinch pots, pinch pots, made from everywhere

We had made a special clay of a little dough made with about flour and salt. Then we rolled it into a ball, poked a hole in it and pinched it bigger. These are the pinch pots before we put them in the oven. Mine was a little blown out the sides like a flower, but I didn't want it that way.
Yay! It's time to paint! I'm painting my pinch pot. One pinch pot for me. One pinch pot for Bastian and one pinch pot for Mama.
I'm peeking and grinning in a funny way. Here are the painted pinch pots. See that one with the blue on the top? That's upside down.
I wanted to open my very own pottery store like Rob's.

Puddle Art

The first step was to fold some paper. I folded it by putting one side over the other, flattening it down. You grownups must know how to fold in half. I did it. Then I open it and it's like a card and I put paint on one side.
I put many drops of paint on.
Now we're flattening it down. We're putting our hands and rubbing them all over the place.
Now we made a big paint surprise! My picture (center) was called "Freddi Fish and the Water Bumblebees." Dorian (right): his was called "Putt Putt goes at the Moon."
I made blue and black and red and a sun and yellow and blue. It's like a dragon. Or actually a bat. It's a bat now? I made a bat. Look! If you go on a Mario game, you'll see this face on Bowser.
I liked doing the puddle art. And me, too. I made a puddle art, too.

The experiments of paper

I'm weaving paper. You make patterns. You just put it over and under, over and under. Or under and over, under and over.
I'm weaving paper. I didn't do it so well. Yes, you did, Dorian. No, I didn't so well.
Look at our mural! Do you love it? Thank you. We drew a pond, a bird, ladybugs, our house, cattails and oh so much more. We used crayons, 10 twist up crayons, and colored pencils and pens.

I am a pirate and Dorian's an artist

I'm sailing away in a sailboat. I'm dressed up as a pirate. I'm holding a sword. The sword came from my house. It was me and Daddy who made it. I made it with tape and cardboard. Did you grow that moustache? No, I got it drawn. But I did pretend that I grew it. I think I was pretending to sail to an island.
I am painting a picture of Animusic 2 and Animusic 1. Green and black and yellow and green and red.

Just One Day and One Night, pt. 5

Chapter 5
Funny End of the Day

They weren't so good. I'm talking about these keyboards that wouldn't work. I couldn't believe my eyes! I was in a music store and none of the keyboards work. Suddenly, one worked!
Then I went home again. And I played my bass guitar. I forgot that it was out of tune. Then all of my instruments didn't work because they haven't worked in 3,000 years.
I was skateboarding and ALL OF A SUDDEN... who should I see flying back to me, but the allosaurus in a helicopter!
The allosaurus jumped out and said, "Whew, my friend, you look older." And I said, "Yes, I'm 19 years old."
He got out his toolbox, got out his tools, and began fixing the instruments. I was skateboarding in my band room and waiting for my friends to come play in the band.
